The active ingredient in the Airbrush/Mystic solution is a sugar molecule, extracted from sugarcane, called DHA. DHA reacts naturally with the outer most layer of your skin creating a tan that looks and feels natural. Over 30 years ago, the Food and Drug Administration(FDA) approved DHA for cosmetic applications. The other ingredients in the solution are mostly moisturizers, like Aloe Vera, and are all harmless and non-allergenic.
Why our Airbrush/Mystic solution is special?The Solution is itself a skin softener and moisturizer. This solution contains NO alcohol which dries the skin. Uniquely, our solution dries quickly and is non sticky within minutes. All ingredients are FDA approved, non-allergenic, and 100% organic.
What is a Mystic or Airbrush application?Prior to coming in for your application, exfoliate your entire body using a shower scrub. Upon arrival, Bahama Body solution is professionally airbrushed onto your skin (about 10 minutes), or if Mystic tanning the booth will take only 2 minutes. Airbrush tanning takes about 10 minutes to dry and Mystic only a few minutes. DO NOT shower for 6 to 8 hours. It takes approximately 24 hours to see the full results of your natural looking tan. Your tan will fade away like a natural tan. To increase the length of your tan refrain from the use of any products that will exfoliate your skin and be sure to moisturize daily.
How long does it last?It can last from 2 to 7 days. It is different for everyone. It all depends on your skin and the care you take following the session. Long baths or showers, hot tubs, swimming pools and shaving will cause your tan to be short lived. We carry a line of “Tan Extenders” specially designed to extend the life of your tan.
What kind of results can I expect?No Matter what your skin tone, you typically will be 2-4 shades darker than your current skin color. Mystic Tan offers you 2 choices, Original (2 shades darker) and Premium (3/4 shades darker).
Will I turn orange?NO! Not all Airbrush solutions are created equal. Bahama Body airbrush solution and Mystic Tan are the best on the market. We have been using the Bahama Body and Mystic airbrush solutions proudly since we opened in April of 2004. DO NOT use any over the counter self-tanning products or moisturizers that can effect your airbrush tanning results.
